Several classes of medications exist to treat the different forms of arthritis and what is good for some is not necessarily good for others. We will try to simplify those classes by separating the different diagnostics and treatments associated with them. Of course, if your treatment does not appear in this list, it does not mean that your doctor has made a mistake in prescribing it. Sometimes people with arthritis may have symptoms that will be treated more effectively with medication from a different class. Your physical assessment and your response to medication will have a great influence on the treatment that your rheumatologist will recommend.
